About ApreNet

Closing the Asia Evidence Gap

Asia represents approximately 60% of the world's population, yet high-quality Asia-based electronic health record (EHR) data remain underutilized in global drug development.

This evidence gap is particularly important in oncology, where disease epidemiology, mortality patterns, molecular profiles, treatment access, and real-world treatment pathways may differ across regions and populations.

ApreNet aims to help close this gap by supporting structured oncology real-world data (RWD) studies based on academic and clinical research collaborations across Asia.

A Founder-Led RWD Company Focused on Asia-Based Oncology EHR Data

Company Overview

ApreNet was established to help address a key evidence gap in global oncology drug development: the underutilization of Asia-based EHR data in clinical development, real-world evidence (RWE) generation, and model-informed decision-making. ApreNet develops practical RWD solutions for pharmaceutical partners seeking to understand Asian patient populations, treatment pathways, clinical outcomes, and biomarker-defined subgroups.

Vision

To advance global oncology drug development by connecting Asia-based EHR-derived RWD with scientific, clinical, and methodological expertise.

Mission

To help pharmaceutical partners generate development-relevant RWE from Asian clinical practice through EHR-based data strategy, oncology RWD analytics, multi-country evidence generation, and optional model-informed approaches.

Scientific Leadership

ApreNet is led by Kyungsoo Park, MD, PhD, Founder and CEO — a professor of pharmacology and clinical pharmacologist with expertise in pharmacometrics, EHR-based RWD methodology, and model-informed drug development. Prof. Park’s scientific work is grounded in more than two decades of academic and clinical research within the Yonsei University Health System environment, providing an important foundation for ApreNet’s work in EHR-based oncology RWD and model-informed RWD approaches.
